Driving while rushing or distracted can lead to road kill or dangerous collisions with larger animals. Road kill in the Santa Monica Mountains impacts many species in the Santa Monica Mountains, especially bobcats and mountain lions.

Additional signage would be helpful as many drivers in the Santa Monica Mountains are not local and are unfamiliar with the likelihood of wild animals jumping onto the road.

Help animals by reporting roadkill to the statewide UC Davis California Roadkill Observation System.

Please pull over in a safe place, stop, photograph what you have seen, write down the time of day, date and location and report to this website.
