The Santa Monica Mountains are home to oak groves, coastal chaparral, beach dunes, and other native habitats for all the animals we love – mountain lions, bobcats, red-tailed hawks, deer, and endangered fish like Southern steelhead trout. To maintain wildlife diversity, we may need to adjust how we do things at our homes and places of business to allow these wonderful creatures to grow and thrive.

Here are simple practices for you to live lightly and share the mountains to the beaches with our wild neighbors.
